New York State forces a person to carry a non-viable pregnancy to term or continue a pregnancy that threatens their health.

It's true. Abortion is a crime in New York State after 24 weeks unless it is performed to immediately save the life of the patient. Even if the pregnancy is not viable. Even if the pregnancy poses a health risk to the patient. This means the law in New York is unconstitutional, which is not surprising because it was passed in 1970, pre-dating Roe v Wade. And it is actually affecting people- many of whom end up traveling far out of state to get the care they need.
